Blog #2 2024 Chevrolet Trax

This is Gregg DeVillers, one of the Product Specialists here at Tom Smith Chevrolet and I’ve been asked to talk about one of the new cars for 2024. I have chosen the Chevrolet Trax because I love how these newly designed vehicles look and how practical they are. Let me explain how they are.

The first thing you will notice when you see one of the new Chevrolet Trax’s is it’s sleek design. GM has designed the car to make it bigger than previous years and it’s almost the perfect mix of a car and an SUV. As GM states about these crossovers, “it offers the practicality of a compact car and the utility of an SUV.” These cars are great for the first-time buyer or those families that are downsizing and looking to get smaller without losing some of the SUV perks. If you compare it with the Buick Encore and Chevrolet Trailblazer, the Trax is the longest and has the most cargo space in the trunk than the other brands.

There are 5 different trims that you can get in the Trax, LS, the 1RS, LT, 2RS and the ACTIV trim. Each trim offers different interior and exterior options. The 2RS trim is the one I like the best because it looks sportier than the other trims. One of the other unique things about the Trax that makes it appealing to the first-time buyers and especially the younger generation, is the colour combinations you can get. Some of the the exciting colours you can get are; Nitro Yellow, Cacti Green, Harvest Bronze, Cayenne Orange and Blue Glow to go with the standard white, black, and grey. However, not all colours are available for all trims, for example the Blue Glow is only available in the LS/LT trims. I personally like the look of the Crimson Red which is available on all trims. The red just seems to glow when you drive down the road. The interior colours have a combination of jet black or gray with an accent in either blue, red, or yellow that are paired nicely with the unique exterior colours.

Furthermore, the interior of the car is nice and sleek with two different screens, the driver information screen for the driver to easily view the speedometer or mileage with a cool graphical display. In the LT, 2RS and Activ trims, you get the 11-inch infotainment screen which is tilted slightly toward the driver to make it easier to touch the screen and help change car settings like the climate or radio.

The last thing is some nice accessories you can purchase for the Trax that make it more practical and better suit your needs. The first one is the cargo liner with the Chevrolet script for the trunk space. This increases the car’s appeal when you open the tailgate and have the light glisten off that liner. Another great accessory is the roof rack cross rail package that would help you carry any sports equipment, like skis when you hit the slopes this winter. Speaking of winter, right now Chevrolet will give you $200 off a set of Pirelli Asimmetrico winter tires with the purchase of a Trax to help with the winter conditions and making sure you keep that new car on the road.

With the new design and sleek colours, the 2024 Trax is the perfect crossover vehicle. If the Trax is something that appeals to you, please come to Tom Smith Chevrolet and I would be happy to show you all it’s features in person.
