Each 2026 GMC Canyon uses the same powertrain, a turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine making 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. It’s attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, owners can expect most 2026 Canyon versions to achieve up to 13.6 L/100 km in the city and 10.7 L/100 km on the highway.

Towing Capacity

Every pickup truck is judged on its ability to tow. The 2026 Canyon is in a strong position with most versions offering a towing capacity of 3,493 kg (7,700 lbs.). The AT4x version has a peak towing score of 2,722 kg (6,000 lbs.).
